Day 12

 My last day WDW…





The best part about this entire trip has been doing the things we NEVER did. I watched the parade for the second time today with an excellent view right as it started in Frontierland. I rode Millennium Falcon twice on my Hollywood Studios day. I always thought that ride would make me sick. The ride that did make me sick was Guardians of the Galaxy in Epcot. I rode that one twice too. It’s a great ride but during my first time I was one spin away from getting sick. I had to give it another chance and thought the next time would be better. It wasn’t. I’m marking Guardians of the Galaxy off my list forever. Finally, the train in Magic Kingdom has been out of service for at least 2 years so I got to take a lovely ride around the park. 

The most interesting new thing of my entire trip was the flag retreat. As the sun set I saw the most moving ceremony. Everyone said the Pledge of Allegiance, the band played The Star Spangled Banner and then the entire crowd sang My Country Tis of Thee. It was very moving. Much anticipated trip

 I’m on the move again. My house is kind of complete and I feel all moved in. After my parents did so much work, I had a visit from Pam and Bill who hung paintings and did so much!  I really feel like Florida is my home.  I am in another country now. I will post pictures when I can. For I will give a few hints Men wear Capri pants. (Manpris!!) Coffees are tiny and you stand at a counter to drink them.  Breakfast was a cappuccino, freshly squeezed orange juice and a chocolate croissant as big as a shoe. All for €6

  I keep reading this quote over and over. My life right now is HARD. I’m not complaining one bit but it’s HARD. I’m selling my house. I’m moving. I’m packing. I’m searching for a house. It’s a lot and it’s HARD doing all this on my own. It’s not impossible but I’ve always had someone making the decisions and I was just the support partner. Now every decision I make is my own and that’s HARD. Today the inspector is coming to check over my house for the buyers. I sure hope he doesn’t find something that’s too HARD to fix!

Back home

 I’m back home and getting ready for the big move. Thanks to the college boys down the street. My attics are completely empty. Would anyone like a Christmas tree? I have five. How about a trophy? I have many trophies that little girls collect that I will be happy to share. Need a vacuum cleaner? I have three of those. And there are boxes and boxes and boxes of junk. The funniest thing I found in the attic are the light up deer that we used to put in the yard at Christmas. Unfortunately, the neighborhood hooligans always put our deer in compromising positions. The deer have lived in uncompromising positions in the attic for at least 10 years. It’s time for them to find their final resting place at Goodwill!
