Day 8

 I said goodbye to the cruise ship and my friends. I was lucky to get a great rental car (BMW) through Sixt and made my way to WDW. What a long day!

Disembark - Rent car and drive 3 hours to Disney - Stop at the Outlets to get a few souvenirs - Check into hotel - Room not ready so I head to Hollywood Studios. Thanks to my daughter back at home, I had lots of rides lined up and stacked. I toured nonstop from about 2:00-9:00. I was exhausted - Gathered just enough energy to eat sushi at my hotel and watch talented people sing karaoke. 



Entering the first park of the trip is always a thrill!
This guy wanted me to help him find a missing barrel of monkeys. 
Some Disney food is bad. But some is really good. And this is a grilled cheese and brisket sandwich. It’s excellent! I am eating it in a very posh spot on top of a garbage can.

Much anticipated trip

 I’m on the move again. My house is kind of complete and I feel all moved in. After my parents did so much work, I had a visit from Pam and Bill who hung paintings and did so much!  I really feel like Florida is my home.  I am in another country now. I will post pictures when I can. For I will give a few hints Men wear Capri pants. (Manpris!!) 6 weeks later…

 So  Many Changes When I started this blog, I had no idea that I would be moving. I knew I wanted to get out of my old house but I didn’t really know I’d be doing all of this. You can’t just move. It’s so much harder than that. Here’s the timeline by months. January - decide to move and talk to a realtor about homes options in my town February - realize the homes in Indiana are just as expensive as the homes everywhere else and I can live somewhere fabulous with wonderful weather March - start a house hunt in Florida  April - put my house up for sale and actually find a buyer so quickly it made my head spin May - find a house in Florida in a golf community in a great location  June - drive both cars down to Florida in two trips while I wait for the closing on my new home in hopes that I can get all moved in by the time Leah’s baby is due at the end of June Reading that makes it sound so simple. Day 1

This is the beginning.  Day 1. January 1. The first day of the rest of my life.  My goals aren't that tough.  I can and will do this! Goal 1 - Post each day on this site.  Upload a photo or a comment or both.  Who knows what it will evolve into. I have written a blog before.  I loved it.  I chronicled my family's move to Belgium and our life as expats. If you search really really hard you just might find it out there in the web. Goal 2 - Close my rings every day on my Apple watch.  I will post my progress on this blog.  I probably won't show my daily progress, but I will show a weekly or monthly tally. I have never done anything like this before.  We will see how it goes. I really have no excuse to not accomplish this.  I have no one but myself to hold me back.
