Day 50

  It’s already 50 days into the year 2023! I’m driving very far south today to Bonita Springs, Florida. Along the way I have seen the craziest billboards to see live gators and eat boiled peanuts. The latter seems like the most disgusting thing I could ever eat. I stopped for gas and saw that the boiled peanuts are kept warm in a crockpot-like vat. There were 3 different varieties and they were horrible. The station attendant scooped out 1 for me to try and said boiled peanuts are an acquired twist. Slimy and soft are 2 words to describe them. 

A little further south I stopped at the Citrus Welcome Center. It was actually a gas station but it was packed with tourists buying oranges and Florida souvenirs.

Much anticipated trip

 I’m on the move again. My house is kind of complete and I feel all moved in. After my parents did so much work, I had a visit from Pam and Bill who hung paintings and did so much!  I really feel like Florida is my home.  I am in another country now. Day 3

 I’m up early!! Ready to board that cruise ship!! I really can’t leave for another four hours so I have plenty of time to write. Actually, I have plenty time to exercise. Pray, read, craft, write and watch TV. Hopefully it will be productive. Of course I could just lay in bed all morning but that gets me nowhere toward my goals. This morning I am thinking about forgiveness. It’s tough. Forgiveness is something that I have total control over. It’s so easy to forgive someone when they are truly sorry. Like when my kids did something wrong when they were little, they were sorry. Easy forgiveness. When my kids did something wrong when they were older, it was a little different. They knew they were breaking a rule before they broke it. Were they sorry? Yes, but they were most likely sorry for getting caught. Day 9

Day 9 of my wonderful year puts me in Animal Kingdom.  I saw real animals (really really close). And fake animals! I wore my favorite Mickey shirt And drank my favorite pick me up beverage.   I do not appreciate Christmas decor and jaunty Christmas music in January. It’s just not right. It’s still a great day.
